We took the car to a place that has cable cars up the mountain. There were a lot of lines but it was definitely worth it. We encountered one monkey on top the the mountain, but passed a group of 50 or so alongthe road on the way there.

Cal got to ride with both of us this time. The mountains are so green. Many of the mountains I’ve seen are bare rock faces, but here the trees cover everything.

The Eagle’s Nest is a glass floored peninsular structure that goes off the side of the mountain. Even though you know it’s perfectly safe, I still felt a little uneasy going over the big glass panels.

The skybridge is a curved suspension bridge that hangs from a single support. It does sway a little bit in the wind. There were a lot of stairs to get down to it from the top lookout point, and had people going up and down, sometimes without railings.

For dinner we went out to the night market at Kuah. Langkawi has a night market for each night of the week in different towns. This one was a 30 minute drive from our resort.

The food was fantastic. First I tried some takoyaki balls (a Japanese food), which are fried right there in front of you with little bits of meat in the center.

Next we had some noodles and then a gigantic beef kebab. It was delicious, though some of the meat was to tough.

I got a watermelon juice and a blue mojito thing to drink, an egg roll, more skewers with peanut sauce, and then a sticky rice wrapped shrimp.

I would have eaten more if I wasn’t stuffed and the market was winding down. Hopefully we can get to another night market for more.
